THE VALUE OF SCHOOL SOCIAL WORK RESOURCES
Welcome! As a School Social Worker, I wanted to provide one place where families, students, educators, and social workers could access activities, resources, and supports. I have gathered many materials from online, resources and activities that colleagues have shared, and many I use in my work with students. Since schools were abruptly closed nationwide as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, many students and their families were left with little supports and resources. This is a crucial time for families to take care of one another both physically and emotionally. Since social distancing is strongly advised, many families are left home for an extended period of time with little to no outside contact. This is a place where you can locate a variety of resources and activities to support you during a time of high stress and uncertainty. I wish you and your family health and safety! Throughout the website you will find many resources and activities for both children and their families that address the importance of social-emotional needs, mental health, and overall well-being. You will also find links connecting you to local and national supports around Covid-19 precautions and guidelines.
